Shortlisted for a Training Excellence Award - Construction News Awards 2019
Its been a awesome year in 2019. Working with a client (Amey Management Services) on submitting an application for consideration of a Training Award for our Investments Continuous Development Programme.
Its been a delight to have been part of a team who have been selected and shortlisted to for consideration of a Training Excellence Award with the Construction News.
The Awards Night is taking place in July in London Park Lane, following an extensive interview by highly skilled business people who are fulfilling the role of Judges. Looking forward to hearing the results on the night for ourselves and other shortlisted applicants.
An introduction to Trade Unions September 2015
Ann collaborated with Vicky Duddles (Associate Solicitor at Weightmans LLP) and Tarnia Wilson (Office Manager and Trade Union Rep) to deliver an informative and interactive session to help those either new to HR or moving from a non-unionised to a unionised environment.
The session covered:
- An overview of legislation relating to rights of trade union officials and employers’ duties in the collective bargaining arena
- Case studies – covering consulting with unions including building effective working relationships with Trade Union Representatives, tackling people-related activities by working together in an effective and honest way.
- Ideas on what to do and what not to do for a good working relationships
CIPD Birmingham Branch - are interested in hearing from CIPD members who would like to be part of an innovative and creative HR Branch Committee Team. You could get involved in co-ordination, planning of events and delivery of those events to the members of the CIPD Branch in Birmingham. (November 2015)
The Generation Game July 2015
Ann facilitated an event to discuss the generational differences within the modern workforce and how to attract, retain and manage individuals effectively. The event was also an opportunity to share some newly released research on the topic conducted by Hays recruitment and CIPD.
100% of attendees rated the event as either good or excellent and in particular commented "Ann was an engaging and topic enlightening", "A fun an lively event conducted in a friendly relaxed manner", "Insightful and gained a lot of knowledge"
Ann was supported by Sally-Ann Rice from VAX and Mike Archer from Bluebox HR all working in collaboration with CIPD Birmingham. The event was sponsored by the Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport.
